Southern Surf Stomp! presents The Original Shake Charmers, Senator Artie Mondello, Dick Dave and the Scavengers (Dick Dale tribute)
The Original Shake Charmers are from Tuscaloosa/Birmingham and feature member from rock n' roll legends The A-Bones, The High Fidelics, The Zaratans, and many more. They're a high energy, sax driven surf and stomp combo with great instrumentals and vocals alike. I had the pleasure of sharing a bill with them in Birmingham a couple of years ago and couldn't help but dance and sing along, I'd dare anyone to try and not do the same (so it's not just a clever name!).
Atlanta's own purveyor (or is that pronounced pervert?) of sleaze, Senator Artie Mondello (of the Delusionaires) is sure to get your ears drunk, take them home, show them a good time, and may or may not call them back again.
Guitar wizard David Northrip is back with Dick Dave and the Scavengers: A Tribute to Dick Dale and will be performing classic hits from "The King of the Surf Guitar".
